2026 Budget. That time when the Government cemented the fact they have absolutely zero understanding of how the environment is the foundation of our existence ๐ซฃ๐โ ๏ธ
This Government believes disestablishing the Ministry for the Environment and cutting funding for the environment is 'necessary' ๐คฆโโ๏ธโ ๏ธ If only they understood there is no economy, let alone a decent future for humanity if we don't secure the **actual necessicity** of a functional environment ๐ฆ๐
Opps! Our Government forgot about the foundation of our collective wellbeing and disestablished the dedicated Ministry for the Environment โ ๏ธโ ๏ธ
In five months voting opens....let's not forget this one. Enrol. Vote. Share. Get involved โ๏ธ
We shouldn't have to imagine an Aotearoa where public conservation land is for everyone to enjoy, forever VS. mined for a sugar-hit for foreign company profits and we're left with decimated ecosystems and a toxic legacy.
Protecting Conservation land from new mining is a no-brainer. Let's fix this.
