Song et al. identify the 14-3-3 protein GRF8 as a critical factor inhibiting MYC2-mediated JA signaling by recruiting JAZ repressors and competing with the coactivator MED25. H2O2 sulfenylates GRF8 to disrupt its interaction with and inhibition of MYC2, thereby facilitating the JA response in Arabidopsis.
