The Minneapolis Police Department is $23 Million Over Budget. How much is due to “double dipping” by Police Officers (who are basically committing fraud). Mayor Frey isn’t providing the oversight or leadership to prevent fraud in our city. A deep investigation is needed.

Nothing but respect for My Council President 🫡
Jill Davis
11 City Council members sent a letter to the Charter Commission ahead of their meeting where they will consider moving forward with significant changes to the appointment process for city department heads. We can’t support taking away council approval & public input in the appointment process.
I think the City Council should ask Mayor Frey and MPD for examples of attempts to decrease spending and to actually “manage” the spending of MPD. Right now it just looks like there are no money constraints within the MPD. Are any spending requests ever turned down?
Here’s what I want to know- on average per month how many policy solutions are proposed by the City Council Progressives versus the Council Moderates versus the Mayor. I believe the Progressives are vastly ahead in working on solutions that improve the lives of people in Mpls.
Senator Clark not only advocates for laws to curtail ICE’s illegal tactics, he also has been out there patrolling frequently during the surge. Thanks for all your efforts for our community!
