🏛️ The beautiful mosaic floor of the Roman baths at the sanctuary of Poseidon, Isthmia, Greece. The baths were built in 150 CE on the site of pre-existing ancient Greek baths. 📹 My own.

Eagle warrior (cuāuhpilli), Mexica (Aztec) 1325-1521CE. It shows the detailed face of a young warrior emerging from the open beak of an eagle, which functions as a helmet or military headdress. Eagle warriors were an elite military order in Aztec society, associated with the sun, day, and light.

The last great Mayan capital, Mayapán, Yucatán. This walled city, known as the "Banner of the Maya," is located about 40 km of Mérida This city had about 4,000 structures and its imposing Kukulkan castle, a replica of the one at Chichen Itza. It housed approximately 12,000 inhabitants. 1200-1450CE.
