Arriving first has its advantages.
Arbiters of taste, Hoshoryu and best friend, Asahakuryu, tour the Louvre.
The first group of sumo wrestlers in the upcoming Paris tournament arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport on Tuesday as the City awaits the sport's second and equally dynamic contingent headed by Yokozuna Onosato and Ozeki Aonishiki of Ukraine--Europe's second largest country after Russia.
The summer rain subsides to allow Kirishima and his tsukebito (US collegiate judo star) Koseiryu, to snap a classic photo.

City of Lights--Asakoryu at la Tour Eiffel.
Before departing, Onosato spoke to reporters, saying, “I experienced London last year, and because this time it’s Paris, I’m very happy to be able to participate again."
Asked what he's most excited about, the yokozuna replied, “I’ve heard the food is delicious, so I want to eat plenty of it.”
While Ozeki Kirishima is fulfilling his wife's dream of seeing Paris, fellow ozeki, Aonishiki, and Natsu Yusho champ Wakatakakge refuse to be (overly) seduced by the City of Lights.
Both wrestlers vow to "stay true to (my) style and show Parisians great sumo."
The 2-day tourney begins on June 13.
