Today in Iceland we celebrate Seamen, Sailors, and all things fish. In harbors across the island, there will be festivities, food, fish, & fighting (yes, my favorite part at Reykjavík's festival is when people fight each other on the bowsprit of a large wooden sailboat).
To clarify, Luca has been to space, but was the first Italian (and only third European) ever in space. It will be Andre's first space mission, but Randy and Frank have tenure on the ISS, especially Frank who holds the record for longest space flight by an American. (371 days!)
Awww they even just mentioned "moon joy" in the science update, saying #Artemis3 will focus on "earth joy." 🥹🌏

A trio of CMEs were produced yesterday by several X-class flares. A G3 geomagnetic storm watch has been issued for tonight.

We can expect G3 storm conditions with potential pockets of G4 levels punctuating this event.
That means Europe is sitting in prime viewing time territory right now, but depending on how these CMEs cannibalize each other, North America will get a decent show too. So, cameras at the ready & look up!
