DEREK JARMAN (1942 - 1994). One of Britain’s most radical and poetic filmmakers, his work was explicitly gay in its vision and uncompromising in its aesthetics. He was one of the first public figures in Britain to openly discuss living with HIV. He remains a saint figure of queer British culture. 🏳️🌈
