Bill will be remembered for his commitment, dedication, and contributions to the theoretical and practical development of the revolutionary anarchist movement in North America.

After the dissolution of Love & Rage, Bill joined the NYC Open City Collective affiliated with the North East Federation of Anarchist Communists (NEFAC), later called Common Struggle.
Bill followed Common Struggle when it fused w/ other organizations to found BRRN in 2014.
Bill’s political history is unique. In his early days he was a member of the Revolutionary Socialist League, a small Trotskyist group that abandoned Leninism and later helped found the Love & Rage Revolutionary Anarchist Federation.
Bill was highly active in his union as a rank-and-file member, well known for pushing the union to join the fight to stop the execution of Mumia Abu-Jamal.

We are saddened to report the passing of our comrade and former Black Rose/Rosa Negra militant Bill Bachmann, at the age of 81.
Bill was a lifelong revolutionary who spent much of his career organizing in the NY Metro Area Postal Union - Local 10.
