Another effect of this cruel and insane move: some people will get a month of meds at substantial cost and stretch it out by skipping pills, which will cause their viral load to steadily rise, not only causing their own illness but inducing resistant virus. Another public health disaster.

Hmm, let me recall what happens when patients living with HIV don't get their meds...oh yeah, they die. Not instantly of course, but eventually the immune system fails and almost all patients die (about 0.2-0.5% are able to control HIV without meds) Even if treatment resumes, damage is done 😳
