This is devastating for game devs here in Winnipeg. Ubisoft wasn't a perfect employer, but it was game dev work, and if you're not DIYing it, there aren't many jobs like that here. 70ish devs are out of work. The U of M co-op program loses another option for its students. It fucking sucks.

I genuinely never thought I would live through a period where the U.S. government was so erratic and unstable that even the basic fundamental communications over something as consequential as "are we in active combat or not" were impossible to parse as being entirely fabricated or not.
I mean using military force to impose your political terms is the exact definition of war. You can't have a ceasefire while also using military force to impose your will on an adversary.
