I am in Brussels for the week with our MA Students in European Studies. We just had a talk with the spokesperson of OLAF at the EU Commission.
I am so proud of our students asking the tough questions on frontex, misconduct and for pointing out the flaws in the independence of the institution.
We had great constructive and honest conversations with bureaucrats, journalists, lobbyists, and politicians in Brussels. Students asked hard questions.
We also had somewhat *cough cough* difficult moments. @feministconlaw.bsky.social was ready with merch during our debriefings.🏅
We are visiting the House of European History this morning. We coached our students with postcolonial readings of the permanent exhibition. I've discussed this museum every semester since 2022 and STILL once again I'm angry with my Audioguide tutting around. At least w/ @feministconlaw.bsky.social
