It’s a true story. (Source: am sister.) The extra funny and terrifying part was that I had been asking for a while in faux fear, “What’s in there?!” and he kept predicting “Nothing” and he was right… The severed head joke was just to mix it up! We didn’t have internet spoilers back then.
Last year we published the longest post in the more than 17 year history of our science blog.
It contains a panel of experts (including me) responding to nearly 50 common questions that people have about marine biology career advice.
