The answer was almost certainly a yes. The mystery creature has firmly attached itself to Kieran's leg... and fallen asleep.
Even its snores were cute...
Whether Kieran likes it or not, the Mystery Pokemon has joined him, it seems.

Right now, though. Kieran fought to keep his heart from outright melting at the creature's little attempts of affection.

The affection is immediately reciprocated, albeit in the form of infantile babbling and a weak, gaseous attempt at a hug... but it was so darn cute, even when it couldn't do something properly.
Surely someone out there would know what this little one is, right..?

The next time it came around, he brushed the top of its gaseous form. His concerned expression melted into something more akin to admiration.
