Perpetuating the "perfect victim" for any marginalized group does more to harm that group than good. It dehumanizes us by asserting that we only deserve the privilege of existing if we're serving a certain (usually fascist) ideal rather than acknowledging the fact that marginalization

Personally I think trans people should be depicted as horrible people more. Lot of folks seem to be afraid to do it for fear of proving some imagined transphobes right or making the whole look bad but we're all people and people can be pieces of shit too. And you can write a good story about them!
