The circular logic is painful: you are rejected because you have not yet obtained your own major project, while the schemes that could let you prove this remain out of reach. I am proud of the work. But this system keeps asking for evidence that it often refuses to make possible.
Probably my last Ramón y Cajal attempt. Strong international profile, solid research trajectory, but not enough evidence of independent leadership and funding as PI.
