As someone who lives in an area under a significant drought, I also worry about how it will influence the frequency and duration of waters restrictions in the future. Basically so some dude can animate a fight between Tom Cruise and Foghorn Leghorn.
Reminded of how people said that venture capitalist types only own a small number of houses so they can’t be affecting prices. But if you live in an area with a housing shortage, having say 10% off the market can have a huge effect on prices.

People are pointing out that this is, despite how it sounds, a relatively small amount of water, which is true. However, Amazon and others want to massively increase the number of data centers in operation, which means the water use will go up a lot, and this will inevitably affect our water costs.
