This journal sketch of Gaster's disembodied hand had some unexpected elements. The horizon, tilted as if the viewer was rising (or notions of balance did not matter) and the surface/ocean of liquid jade, maybe melted tile?
Only the inside of the sleeves is seen, not what light should show.

@somespoonybard.bsky.social I know that I don't say hello or interact much, but I just wanted to take a moment to say that I love when I see your name/icon around!
Here is to hoping that this crazy world is treating your fairly, if not also kindly, and that art and leisure time is in balance.
@loreandordure.com I was thinking of your recent bindings, and I stumbled across a little trove of works by DAS Bookbinding (a great master of the craft),and a link to Peter Baumgartner.
Another step added to what I knew of sewn board bindings, almost a hardback!

@soaresskl93.bsky.social Thank you for following me.I've been watching your art for a while, and few fans achieve a great abstraction of Gaster in their art - I enjoy your works!
I am far too much a realist for that rendering, but here's a raised glass to our art working out. We know the struggle.
A sketchbook practice piece which turned out decently, I arrived at the image of Gaster with a nimbus of light and violet flame - both sources that interact with the jacket and bone surfaces.
Building his structure with hues, and focussing on volumes of his figure.
