"Yes well, I can see that strength in you, little one, there and rising~."
He hummed, begore sighing a bit.
"What i would've given to have had you as a teacher when I started out."
{Garnet}
"Ah I'm not quite so..."
Wait- no he did feel stronger. Had he grown a bit stronger over his impulses, or did giving into them power him up a bit...?
"....I still have a long way to go."
Vaati
He offered a soft smile, then his hand to the other.
"A mage as powerful as yourself? How could I NOT be interested, hmm?"
{Garnet}
"Ah- Well I suppose if you simply have interest in me there's no real harm...."
Ah, his desire to be praised and acknowledged was getting to him.
Vaati
"Can't that be it? Pure interest of a rather interesting magic user? Hmm?"
He nearly cooed, tilting his head a bit
{Garnet}
"Neither was I. But I saw through proper means hard earned power will always triumph over shortcuts."
He sighed, though these memories seemed oddly fond to him.
"....What was your reason, other than pure interest?"
Vaati
Help others?
Sounds like his mote.
Taking a deep breath, his smile graced his lips again.
"I can't say my reasoning was quite as....noble, dear."
{Garnet}
"Hm...magic for ones own satisfaction is not nearly a new tale. I wanted to learn it to become rich and powerful~"
A grin, but then replaced by a genuine smile.
"....But I learned the hard way shortcuts rarely work out. Now, I research magic in an effort to help others. What I should have."
Vaati
He gave a laugh as he stood straight up again.
"Being in a royal family got...boring, I found magic and that was something exciting and new, so I went for it."
Not...exactly a lie nor the whole truth.
{Garnet}
"Ah- not another one. I'm getting rather tired of people hitting on me..."
Not true, but it was slightly annoying.
"Why do you desire magic? Every mage has their tale."
Vaati
"Seems we have that in common."
He hummed, hands interlocked behind his back as he leans down.
"Especially the cute ones~"
{Garnet}
"Well a fellow magic user always interests me....."
Vaati
Garnet was also soft, yet oddly cold.
He gave a smile, painted lips curling up, as he tilts his head.
"I've dealt with plenty of strange things in my life, little one."
{Garnet}
"Garnet....right."
A bit suspicious, usually someone would be a bit more freaked out when someone turned back from a demon.
He did take the hand though, Vaati's hands seemed impossibly soft.
"A pleasure."
Vaati
"Garnet, hylian sorcerer, a pleasure."
He hums, offering him his hand.
{Garnet}
"Ah- you....I apologize for yesterday. We should start off on a better foot.
I'm Vaati, a Hylian mage. And you?"
Vaati
"Ah yes, coffee, alleyways a bonus.:
{Garnet}
"Maybe being a Hylian isn't too bad....despite the hearing thing, It means I have easy access to coffee!"
His 'coffee' is like 90% sugar
