red velvet cookies this week. not a ton to say about them, but pretty good, and I like the white chocolate chips as a vague nod to the frosting for red velvet cake

I've made several different types of snickerdoodle or pecan cookies, but these ones are new and came out quite well. I'm too lazy to press stuff on individually, so I chopped and mixed the excess nuts with the amount the recipe calls for

I sort of wanted to make raspberry financiers, but those turn out to be kind of a pain in the ass, so I just made mini-muffins. still very tasty, and maybe I'll make those some time later.

for some reason every recipe for Biscoff Brownies involves a layer of cookie butter. that probably is good, but I couldn't find any and wanted something quick anyway, so this is just brownies with chopped up biscoff in them

chocolate chip oatmeal cookies this week. not sure if I've made this recipe before or not, but judging by the dough they taste really good

blondies this week because I was busy over the weekend and they're quick. these are really good because I used toasted sugar and took the time to brown the butter

I forget how I found this one initially but I saw it scrolling through bookmarked recipes and thought it looked good. came out pretty well. you can definitely taste both the chocolate and the raspberry

compared to last week, this was refreshingly simple, but it makes a *lot*. I ended up splitting in to loaf pans once I saw the recipe mentions that's an option. tastes pretty good but could hit specifically "butter pecan" harder

these are maybe the most complicated cookies I've made. hand-made caramel, par-cooked bottom layer, and then cookie dough dropped overtop before you bake it for good. worth it though

not sure if I did something wrong, but these fragmented every time I tried to slice them. pushing them back together worked though, so it's all alright

and for this week, lemon bars. I've made these with a graham cracker crust, which I do quite like, but in this case I went with the standard shortbread for simplicity

the recipe calls these "brown sugar cookies" but it might be more accurate to call them "butterscotch cookies" (though otoh maybe I needed to brown the butter to get all the way to that). pretty straightforward but still quite good.

not 100% sure these are finished cooking because of the extra liquid from the strawberries, but the basic concept here should be solid: lemon blondies, strawberries, and struesel topping

I'm not sure if it really counts if the base is chocolate, but I think of these as cookies and cream brownies. I was a little stingy on the white chocolate chips, but I like the overall result

this week: earl grey shortbread cookies. the recipe for these says to roll them out and involves some kind of lemon glaze, but I am too lazy to do either of those things so these are sliced logs like I always make shortbread cookies. taste good, but exactly how you'd expect.

going to start posting the cookies I make every week here. these are chocolate chip cookies which I found the recipe for by wondering "what if you put corn syrup in chocolate chip cookies". for some reason the dough tastes exactly like the bits from cookie dough ice cream
