apropos of the thing of the day: just about every construction regulation that you personally find to be annoying overkill is in place because somebody had a grisly, avoidable death. they don’t establish regulations ahead of disaster just to be safe. they do it to clean up horrifying messes
Somebody (Vance) high up in the Trump administration (Vance) is leaking this at this time for a reason. Who (Vance) would benefit from it in the long run? I personally don't have a (Vance) clue.
