This is a window into how Trump sees energy policy and comes very close to admission of a crime. First because he thinks it's good when oil is expensive because you can make more selling it. Second because he seems to claim that the US is stealing Iranian oil.
A final good reminder that there's an awful lot that unites us.
Note this is theft either way. If it's theft to line the pockets of Trump et al it's an individual crime. If it's theft to steal money for the US it's a collective crime that we all bear when other countries decide that it's now fine to steal stuff. But there will be oversight and accountability.
And there is a certain inspiration to be taken from the fact that the American people are overwhelmingly inspired by things that are antithetical to the agenda of the GOP and the Roberts court. We are better than they think.
There is a direct tie to Venezuela where the Trump WH also seized assets of a foreign country and could not answer even the most basic questions as to their legal authority. (They have not given us answers in subsequent off the record follow up either.) youtu.be/DwjWI6RrCKw?...
