What an excellent idea. I noticed people on sites this year immediately uploading photos of finds to AI for ID. As with everything else it takes away that inquisitive, investigative, learning process. And adds nothing to object ID skill sets.

I led an undergrad seminar in archaeological artefact identification recently. Split into 3 groups. One using books, one using the PAS database and the third using AI photos. I couldn't get any student to admit they knew anything about AI!
