St Peter-on-the-Wall, Bradwell, Essex. Built c.AD654 by St Cedd within the Roman fort of Othona, this is one of England’s oldest churches. Restored in 1920 and still active today. Top left sits the Othona Community, a Christian retreat founded in 1946.
