πŸ“’ AHGBI/Liverpool University Press Mid-Career Publication Prize ⏰ Deadline: 1 October 2026 A great opportunity for mid-career researchers in Hispanic and Lusophone Studies to receive support for a book publication project. πŸ”— hispanists.org.uk/funding-and-...
Bringing together perspectives on Galician, Spanish, signed, and migrant languages, the book offers an important contribution to research on multilingual education, sociolinguistics, and language policy.
It is wonderful to see how AHGBI funding initiatives continue to foster international collaboration and support impactful research projects across Hispanic Studies. Congratulations to Nicola Bermingham and RenΓ©e DePalma on this achievement, and thank you for sharing this with the AHGBI community.
Originally developed through a collaboration supported by AHGBI funding in 2023 at the University of Liverpool, this new monograph explores how language policy is interpreted, negotiated, and enacted in multilingual educational settings in Galicia.
πŸ“’We are delighted to see the impact of the AHGBI Visiting International Fellowship scheme reflected in the publication of Policy Meets Practice: A Multimodal Exploration of Language Education in Galician Schools by Nicola Bermingham and RenΓ©e DePalma.
