I am halfway through Ainslie Hogarth's NORMAL WOMEN after listening to her talk about it on @nathanwhitlock.bsky.social's podcast, because MOTHERTHING was at once bleakly hilarious and one of the most upsetting things I've ever read (I don't know if it was supposed to make me cry but it 100% did!)
