Update: muscles I was not aware of are sore, and I have been lifting for a year. The other skaters told me gleefully about losing toenails during their first month. I get it now.

I left my job as a librarian today to go to roller derby practice, where I go by Dewey Decimator. We listened to chappel and exchanged gay stickers for our helmets. I have a massive bruise, and I truly think I've peaked.
