Left my favourite hat in a rental car at the Charlottetown airport yesterday. (I get it, hat. I didn’t want to leave PEI either.) Hoping the car rental company can find it so I can get it back but, if not, at least my hat will get to live its best life on the East Coast.
Low campaign spending limits for municipal elections make it MORE accessible for people to run for office. In recent yrs, incumbents have been toppled by candidates who did the work — knocking on doors and talking to residents. Keep big $ out of local politics.

...and as for prize culture, what I would TRULY love to see is more funding and attention for reading series, small presses, independent bookstores, and individuals who have dedicated their lives to creating literary community. you know, the oh so essential infrastructure of it all.
