Zuckerberg announced a Meta-wide hackathon, meant to boost morale.
Instead, staff flipped out:
“I’m literally preoccupied with keeping the lights on for my team. I have no incentive to participate, let alone have the time to do so.”
“I’m not sure that this company supports a hackathon culture anymore,” one employee posted in a forum open to the entire staff.
