Mrs. Chamberlain, my 6th grade teacher, once commented on one of my poems: "Rachel, you're a real writer!" And forever after, I WAS a writer, because she'd said so, and she would never lie to me. I got to thank her, after my first book came out, and I feel so grateful for that.
