Did anyone follow up on Fifield's statement that his buddies got the same tattoo? Because the chances that none of them knew for so many years are vanishingly small. (Not that it really matters at this point. If it wasn't an issue in the primary, it probably won't be in the general.)

Look I’m an educated person with a graduate college degree; I use the internet all the time. I’m very familiar with Nazis and Nazi symbols. But when I saw that tattoo I saw nothing that suggested Nazis. And neither would most people.
I doubt that Platner as a young marine would know.

It's almost as well known as the Swastika as far as Nazi iconography goes?
