Not a horror film, but Buried. God damn claustrophobia.
If the movie was about truth, it would interrogate the nature of truth, which it doesn’t at all. It has zero interest in that.

It’s not saying there are transformative truths in the modern world we can all rally around—it’s lamenting their absence and inviting us into a fantasy through which we can experience it. It’s kind of a eulogy. 2/2
I think there is an interesting discussion to be had about the value of escapism vs the responsibility of it though. But yeah, this whole movie is about feelings and connection. It is not subtle about that. “The big truth” is just the fantasy lens through which that’s explored.
