On Wednesday, (June 17) MEPs approved changes to EU policy on the return of third-country nationals staying illegally in the EU. Lawmakers backed the reform by 418 votes to 218 as the bloc’s 27 Member States seek to increase deportations amid growing political pressure to control migration.
