Due to the emerging public health threat, Public Health Commissioner Robbie Goldstein tasked medical providers with notifying the state about new alpha-gal syndrome diagnoses.

9/ This is an enormous reminder that eradication isn't permanent without continued investment. We eliminated screwworm. I said it last week and I'll say it again- keeping threats at bay requires funding, surveillance, expertise, and long-term commitment. Prevention only works when we keep doing it.
my favorite thing is when there is twenty square feet of bike parking and two thousand square feet of gas guzzler parking. really makes it feel like we’re meaningfully tackling climate change 🎉🎉🎉
