It’s been a tad quiet concerning what’s next for Jane Campion, the Oscar-winning director of the acclaimed and award-winning queer Western thriller “The Power of the Dog” (earning a massive 12 Oscar nominations in total back in 2022), and it sounds like the filmmaker has potentially found her next project and will push her into new territory.
While speaking with the folks over at Variety, the Kiwi filmmaker has revealed she’s now developing her first-ever musical feature film, but stopped short of giving any concrete details and if it would be based on any existing material or stage performances.
