We're not looking for academic papers. Any narrative form works, whether that's a short story, a dialogue, a diary entry, a play, or whatever best brings your democratic vision to life. Rooted in research, utopian in ambition.
Selected authors join an international writing retreat in Berlin (7–10 Oct 2026, travel covered) and get published in a story collection. We welcome researchers from every field and career stage, from physicians to physicists, legal scholars to climate scientists.

twentyfifty builds on twentyforty (2019/2020), in which 13 researchers from 10 countries wrote research-based future narratives that grew into an anthology, a miniseries, an exhibition and an audiobook.
