This is very good advice. Mac users who use Apple Mail can enable Mail Privacy Protection in settings, which also blocks trackers and IP address, but still allows images and remote content to load privately.
Authors, a good note in this (incredibly creepy) thread. Go into your email and turn off loading images from unknown senders to prevent pixel trackers.
